My journey into holistic health began with a genuine desire to understand how we can support the whole person — physically, emotionally and mentally.
After completing a VTCT Diploma in Holistic Therapies, I went on to study Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture at Manchester Metropolitan University.
My own experience of ill health was one of the reasons I first became interested in acupuncture. I had been experiencing low energy levels and, although my doctor carried out a number of tests, no clear explanation was found.
During my studies, I experienced acupuncture for myself and began to understand first-hand why so many people find it such a valuable part of their healthcare journey. My growing interest in this ancient system of medicine ultimately led me to begin my own journey as an acupuncturist.
Since qualifying, my interest in holistic health has continued to grow. I believe that every person is unique, and that two people with the same diagnosis or symptoms may have very different experiences and different needs.
This is why I take time to listen carefully to your health story. Your symptoms are important, but so are your wider health history, your experiences and the way your health affects your everyday life.
Alongside my acupuncture practice, I am currently studying homeopathy. This is allowing me to continue developing my understanding of holistic healthcare and deepening my knowledge of how different approaches may support the individual.
My approach is centred around you as a whole person.
You are more than a diagnosis, a collection of symptoms or a list of conditions. Your physical health, emotional wellbeing, experiences and personal health history are all part of your individual story.
I believe that healthcare should begin with listening.
I continue to develop my knowledge and understanding through ongoing study and professional development.
My aim is to provide a calm, welcoming and supportive space where you feel listened to, respected and treated as an individual.
